How do glass frogs hide their blood while sleeping?

Glass frogs can become harder to see by moving red blood cells out of view. When some glass frogs sleep, many red blood cells are packed into the liver, which is covered by reflective tissue. With fewer red cells moving through the body, the frog looks more transparent against leaves. It is camouflage with living blood chemistry.
