How do telescopes use mirrors to see faint galaxies?
Telescope mirrors collect more light than human eyes can. A large curved mirror gathers faint light from space and focuses it toward cameras or instruments. The bigger and smoother the mirror, the more detail it can collect from dim objects that are incredibly far away.
