Human Body
How does your body know it is thirsty?
Your brain watches how salty and full your blood is. When the body needs water, blood becomes slightly more concentrated. Sensors send signals to the brain, which creates the feeling of thirst. Dry mouth can add to the message, but the brain is tracking internal balance.
