Why do fridge doors seal with magnets?

Because a soft magnetic strip hugs the fridge frame to keep the cold safely inside. A squishy gasket runs all around the door, with a hidden magnet that clings to the metal frame. It seals up every tiny gap, locking cold air in and warm air out, while still letting you open the door with ease.
