How does a fridge light turn off?

Because a tiny switch by the door decides exactly when the fridge light turns on. The moment you open the door, the switch is released and the light flicks on. Close the door, and it presses the switch again, cutting the power. Simple, since it has to work perfectly thousands and thousands of times.
