How does a paper shredder pull paper in by itself?
Because rotating cutters inside bite the paper and drag it downward as they slice. Sharp metal blades turn toward each other inside a shredder, and the moment paper touches them, they grip it like tiny jaws. As the blades keep rotating, they pull the page in while slicing it into neat strips.
