How can a blown-out candle relight from its smoke?
A flame can travel through the hot wax vapour in the smoke back to the wick. A candle flame melts wax near the wick, and some of that liquid wax travels up the wick and turns into vapour. The vapour is what actually burns. Right after you blow the candle out, a pale stream rises from the wick.
