How do mudskippers move around on land?
By using strong fins and a twisting body to push across wet ground. Mudskippers are fish, but their sturdy front fins work almost like crutches. They plant the fins, flex their bodies and hop or crawl over mud. They also keep their skin and mouth areas moist so gas exchange can continue out of water.
