By searching blue-ice areas where dark space rocks collect and stand out clearly. Meteorites fall everywhere, but Antarctic ice can preserve them for long periods. Moving ice carries buried rocks toward certain zones, where wind removes snow and exposes blue ice. Dark meteorites become easy to spot against the pale frozen surface.
