How do spacesuits stop astronauts from overheating?
By circulating cool water close to the body and moving excess heat away. A spacesuit is heavily insulated, and an astronaut can create lots of heat while working. Under the suit, a special garment carries water through thin tubes. The moving water absorbs body heat, which the suit's life-support system then releases or manages.
