Why do some glacial hills all point the same way?
Because moving ice reshaped piles of sediment into streamlined hills aligned with glacier flow. Drumlins are smooth, elongated hills found in groups on landscapes once covered by glaciers. Ice moving over soft sediment moulded or reorganised the material. The long axes of the hills usually line up with the direction the glacier travelled.
