How did dinosaurs survive in polar regions?

Some were adapted to cold, darkness and strongly seasonal environments. Fossils show that dinosaurs lived at very high latitudes where winters brought long periods of darkness. Insulating feathers, rapid growth and seasonal behaviour may have helped some species survive these challenging conditions.
