What is an ancient civilisation?

An ancient civilisation was a large group of people long ago with cities, rules, work and ways of living together. Civilisations often had homes, farms, leaders, builders, artists and writers. Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley are examples people still study today.
