Are birds really dinosaurs?

Yes. Birds are the only dinosaur lineage still alive today. Birds evolved from small feathered theropod dinosaurs. They share features including hollow bones, three-toed limbs and wishbones. When the other dinosaur lineages disappeared, the ancestors of modern birds survived.
