How did moving continents shape dinosaur evolution?

Separating continents isolated populations and created new environments. Early dinosaurs lived when much of Earth's land was joined as Pangaea. As the continents drifted apart, dinosaur populations became separated. Over millions of years, isolated groups evolved differently in different regions.
